I happened upon this historic treasure while heading back to my vehicle after a day of shopping, sightseeing, and a visit to the day market on Church Street and East Bay.

I am intrigued by the art of tombstones. From the designs to the textures, they seem to inspire not only a respectful acknowledgment of the departed but also a look into the historic art used to create such beautiful monuments to the memories of those long since passed.
