Art Journal Challenge

Cover Photo Gerd Altmann PIXABAY
Our challenge in this issue is, of course, pink-related. Add some pink and a flamingo or two to your journal. I chose to work with my large journal for this challenge. Email me at pwmblogeditor@gmail.com with your flamingo!

I used the DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics and Americana Acrylics, along with the Rotring Tikky Graphic 0.1 pen, various brushes, as shown in the photo and Americana Decor stencils. The pencil drawing was done with a 2HD pencil. There is a supply list at the bottom of this article.

I drew the flamingo freehand and then used the fluid acrylics. I used the regular white acrylic on the eye. I used the other regular acrylic for the largest fern. Everything else was done with the fluid acrylics. I outlined the flamingo with the graphic pen. The lettering was done by hand, once again with the graphic pen.
The smaller leaves and the flamingo silhouette were done with the fluid acrylics. Fly-specking was done with the toothbrush and the fluid acrylics.
The photos below were found online, hopefully they will inspire your creativity.
Feel free to use this project as a guide or do your own thing. I would love to see how your flamingo art turns out. Email me at pwmblogeditor@gmail.com
