Art Journal Challenge - Recipes Revisited.

In one of our previous challenges, I suggested taking one of your favorite holiday recipes and do a journal page about it, including the recipe. Use whatever medium you prefer. Mix it up if you like. Paint, stamp, draw...whatever makes you happy! Send your submissions to pwmblogeditor@gmail.com That challenge still stands and here is my take on it...
I choose an old family recipe for pumpkin cookies. (I believe they are a favorite of Santas!)

I printed out the recipe on transfer paper. I tore the edges for a decorative look. I then glued the transfer paper to the journal page using DecoArt's Media Matte Medium. I placed the paper upside down on some waxed paper, then applied the medium with a large wash brush.

I then used DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in Burnt Umber to go over the edges. The same acrylics in Qiunacridone Red and Sap Green were used on the backgrounds, ponged on with a craft sponge. I then used the Metallic Gold to stencil over the color and white of the page. My stencils were some Tim Holtz brand I had in my stash.

I used some random Christmas stamps, once again found in my stash to stamp here and there. Next, I flyspecked all four colors over the entire page. Some found glitter cardstock shapes and some awesome castings, from Mitform, finished the page.

Somewhere I have a set of stamps I bought long ago that have a holiday recipe theme and I plan on doing another recipe page. (When I locate them!)
So...show me your recipe page!!! (Address above.)
