As summer meanders to a close and fall is just around the bend...I think,yay! I love to paint fall and Halloween! Don't get me wrong, I love Summer, it's my favorite time of year. However, there is just something about fall colors that I love to paint. From the more muted tones of pumpkins and scarecrows to the brighter colors of Halloween, bring on those Jack 'O Lanterns and black cats, the ghosts and the witches. I'm ready! What about you?
This issue brings us a return of Margaret Riley with a great article on pouring. Her enthusiasm will make you want to give it a try!
Back to school, children dread it and parents can't wait. Watch out for those buses and kids crossing the streets, keep them safe.
I visited the last Hoot convention for the day a few weeks ago. It was a bittersweet sojourn. Fun to visit the vendors and shop the show but sad to say goodbye to some. It was great to see some old friends and make a few new. HOOT, we will miss you!
