It is amazing how quickly time moves forward, even when we don't want it to. More reason to treasure the time we have. What better way than to do something we enjoy? Picking up those paintbrushes brings us a certain satisfaction as we capture imagination in our art.
Fall brings about some beautiful colors, textures, and images to inspire our creativity and create memories to share.
Speaking of creativity, the SDP 50th Anniversary Convention in Las Vegas has just come to an end with what looks like a fantastic turn-out. Special thanks to Sandy McTeir for all the photos and videos she posted. The New England Traditions show or NET is approaching soon, running from October 4 through October 9 in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The OKC Painting Palooza in Midwest City, Oklahoma is not long after from October 22 to October 29. Please remember, that these conventions can only continue with support from decorative painters like you. Your participation and attendance are appreciated by all who work so hard to bring them to you.
This issue brings us not one, but two fun projects that will get you geared up for Autumn. School is in soon in session and Amanda Novaes has a back-to-school painting adventure that will 'bug' you!
Pamela Cassidy brings the bloom of sunflowers to life in a functional yet decorative way with her take on adding some sunshine to daily life.
Viking Woodcrafts, our sponsor, has a look at what's happening at Viking for Halloween. Some great new surfaces, patterns, and more.
Our Promoting Painting partners are ready for the harvest with some great deals, new products, and innovative ideas. Be sure to give them a visit.
Happy Fall!
