Blog Notes July 1, 2019

July has arrived. Along with it fireworks, picnics and parades. Our independence is showing!

As I put my patriotic decorations up I get a sense of pride, to be living in a country with so many freedoms. Makes me want to break out the red, white and blue paints and show my pride in our great nation. Happy Independence Day America!

This issue marks the beginning of 3 blog issues per month. Issued on the 1st, 11th and 22nd of each month, you can look forward to fun projects, interesting articles and wonderful art from our designers. Presented to you by Painting World Magazine.

This issue also starts our Xmas in July blog event. A full month's worth of Xmas in July.

Did you know that Xmas in July has no religious connotations? Origin stories vary from the beginnings at a girl's camp to the weather in different hemispheres to merchants looking for sales during the hottest summer month. For me, I prefer to celebrate it just for fun!

So check out the cute candle cover using colored pencils from Alise Duerr. Take part in this month's challenge...it's a bit different. Participate in the magazine's fabric challenge. You could win and have your art featured in the magazine.

Get those creative juices going, both the magazine and the blog are looking for submissions.

Smiles!
