Blog Notes March 11, 2020

As I sit drinking a warm, tasty latte I feel the heat from the sun coming through the windows. Spring is almost here and I am inspired to throw off those winter doldrums and generate motion. Whether it is cleaning or organizing, painting or designing, this is the time of year when I seem to be the most productive. As usual, I've got many 'irons in the fire' but I prefer the creative chaos over the humdrum any day. The anarchy of my studio spreads out into the everyday, overtaking the rest of the house like a rambling rose searching for sunlight. A paintbrush here, a bottle of paint there...I guess I wouldn't feel at home without the comfort of those artful tools reminding me how much I love this colorful profession.
Speaking of spring, be sure to take a look at this issue's awesome new project from Vera Collier. The perfect fit for a spring-inspired issue, her Spring Nest is sure to inspire.
Bunnies abound or at least they put in an appearance in our pictorial essay in this issue.
