Blog Notes May 1, 2020

As I write this much of our world is still in upheaval, COVID 19 and social distancing have changed our way of living, hopefully only temporarily. We are all doing our best to get through this. Some of us only face a loss of freedoms while others have faced a much graver loss. Those on the front lines, the first responders, the healthcare givers, the necessary business workers all deserve our gratitude for what they do. Kudos also to those doing their bit, however small it may seem, to help others get through this. From the many awesome videos on social media, meant to entertain, to those sewing masks, from teddy bears in a window to one neighbor helping another, it is an inspiration to see mankind reaching out (But not touching!) to each other. We will get through this and hopefully come out stronger for the effort. Stay safe!
This issue is for the birds!
Be sure to take the time to check out the Birds of Summer pictorial essay. This time around there are more of my personal favorites which I am sure many will like!
Pamela Cassidy has given us the third project in her bird series, Lakeside! Beautiful work! Thank you Pamela!
The art journal challenge continues with a bird-related request, be sure to join us and share your work. (I can promise anonymity if you prefer.)
Everyone stay safe and stay creative!
Smiles!
