Blog Notes - November 16, 2022

It is amazing how fast fall collides with winter. With only 38 days until Christmas, many are frantically trying to finish not only their shopping but also their decorating and their handmade gifting. Count me among those many.

Shopping seems to get harder every year, what do you get for the one who has everything?

Looking for the perfect gift can be as close as your own home studio. Is there a subject that would be the perfect gift for that special someone? It may be right in front of you. Could it be that UFO on the table or in the closet? Maybe it's something they have mentioned... times like this make taking notes worthwhile. Whatever you choose, it is sure to be the perfect fit.

This issue of the blog brings a reprint of a popular article, resizing. It's easy to make the pattern fit the surface! Don't be afraid to think outside the box and try designs you love on different surfaces.

We also offer not one but two charming projects in this issue. Some awesome ornaments for the tree or your packages are coming your way. First up, Debby Forshey-Choma has perfected her magic yet again with this duo of downright holiday-inspiring adornments. Then keep your paint brushes out and ready, Anita Campanella has brought us her adorable hedgehog, ready for the same.

Christmas shopping has never been easier for the painter or crafter in your life, be sure to check out our Promoting Painting partners for a great selection of creativity-inspired gifts.

Happy Holidays!
